Morning Walk..................

Tring..................Tring............ My cell phone ringing, its none other than Maahi, she is a sweet friend of mine who wakes me up in most of the mornings these days. Thanks a lot Maahi for waking me up....... My lifestyle had changed a lot since last couple of years, i don't need reasons to be lazy. For last couple of years my eating habits & sleeping habits had degraded a lot. It all started when Myself, Anshuman & Arnab use to live together at Lajpatnagar, there were hardly any mornings when we ate the breakfast. There were very few dinners which we prepared at home, most of the the time our dinners were either from Domino's, Pizza hut, Slice of Italy & Many more......................... Anshuman is lucky, he got married & has a sweet loving wife - Shallu............. I believe she can be a good diet advisor. She had brought drastic turnover in Anshuman's eating habits & lifestyle. Now its been very rare when we eat Pizza, all thanks t...

SAVE THE CHILDREN

My cell phone was vibrating on my desk, it was a landline number from Delhi. I picked up and it was none other than Neeta who had been calling me for past 1 month. Hey don't get this wrong, Neeta is an executive working with an NGO - "SAVE THE CHILDREN". She had already provided me with all the information required about their NGO. I was trying to avoid her for past couple of weeks with one or other reasons. This time i don't have the way out, i said Neeta give me 24hrs & will surely make the online payment for your good deed. In the night i went through their website: http://savethechildren.in/ i went through their articles on child protection, child education, child survival. They had posted couple of case studies which are really eye openers. Reading all this i realized that if i pay for a good cause this will help children in many ways. My small donation will really help a poor child with good education & they can no more be slaved down for begging at ...

Kindness is a very big thing

Today was sad day for me, as one of my close friend was hurt by my remarks & later for the whole day i felt how should say sorry. I was supposed to meet Arnab for Book fair, pragati maiden at 2pm. I was unable to leave from home due to some reason, this made me more sad & irritated for the things which were really not under my control. Later in the evening i took a hot bath & logged off from my home to Dwarka sec-9 Metro station. I put a message to Arnab that i am coming to CP & lets have dinner together to end the day on the good note. After a while i called him to meet me at CP by 7pm & this time i confirmed very well that i am on the way. I reached Rajeev Chowk well by 7pm & in a while we met at Pallika bazar Gate#1. We almost took a full round of inner circle but unable to find the restaurant where we can sit calmly & have dinner. So we moved on the outer circle after a while, where we found a small hoarding of Nirula's Potpourri. W...

Fog Fog

Hi freinds, My last week was pretty hectic & boring as i was on official visit to Dewas. I left Delhi on 18th Jan & all thanks to the autorikshaw driver who rushed me to Nizzamudin Railway station from Vasant vihar where my taxi got punchered. Train reached 6hrs late than the scheduled arrival time at Dewas. Two days at Dewas were pretty hectic as i had been to Dewas almost after 6months. My return jorney was full of chaos as my train departed from Dewas attleast 2hrs late than the schedule time and reached Delhi 12hrs late than the schedule time. Anybody who are travelling by train or air are advised to plan there visits only after checking the weather status, else you would be wasting your day sitting on the railway station or airport. Fog It’s a mysterious morning in the wood as the fogs settled in Fog dances with the wind through the trees twirling A hazy white blanket diffusing scattering the light Everything looks so different tricking your sight The sun ray...

Lohri

Lohri, a seasonal festival of North India is as old as that of story of Indus Valley civilization itself. The Festival of Lohri marks the beginning of the end of winter and the coming of spring and the New Year. The Lohri of north India coincides with Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Makar Sankranti in Bengal, Magha Bihu in Assam, Tai Pongal in Kerala, all celebrated on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti. Lohri is essentially a festival dedicated to fire and the sun god. It is the time when the sun transits the zodiac sign Makar (Capricorn), and moves towards the north. In astrological terms, this is referred to as the sun becoming Uttarayan . The new configuration lessens the ferocity of winter, and brings warmth to earth. It is to ward off the bitter chill of the month of January that people light bonfires, dance around it in a mood of bonhomie and celebrate Lohri. Fire is associated with concepts of life and health. Fire, like water, is a symbol of transformation and regeneration. It is...
