What Does that mean to us: Its another National holiday where nobody bothers what exactly does that mean. Only thing matters that this a holiday when u are free from your office job & occupied with your family job. I remember being a kid i was very fond of republic day parade & use to stick to our black & white TV till the time entire parade doesn't get through. When i grew little younger, i use to play patriotic songs loud on our music system all through the day to enjoy independence day & in the evening there was always a showcase of hindi patriotic movie on Doordarshan channel which i never missed at all. Things had changed a lot during these years, communication & media had changed the India to far distinct. There was a time when we use to watch religious serials like Mahabharat & Ramyana, entire village gathers around a single Television set to get the glimpse of God Rama or God Krishna. I remember the similar moment being a kid when i use to visit my grant parents village & on the sunday's we had travel 3Kms from our village to another village to watch one of the serial of Ramayana. Nowadays communication had changed us to such an extend that we cant even think of those old days.
How should we celebrate Republic Day of India: The real spirit behind such a grand celebration is not only to celebrate India's secularism and democracy but also to make every Indian feel proud of our rich culture, languages, dialects, traditions, customs and religions that makes India a marvelous multicultural country. Let's all come together and feel proud, identify ourselves as true Indians, and not to a particular religion or caste. Let's take a pledge deep inside our hearts to promote one feeling, one religion and one thought: of Being a true Indian.
